“You don’t take a photograph, you make it” – Ansel Adams

HOW DOES THE PROCESS GO?

Simply Put: Connect-Book-Shoot-Edit-Order-Delivery

Connect. From the very beginning, it is important to me to get to know you. I ask that every client, even if informally, share with me some of the information asked in my Getting to Know You form.

Book.  Session fee and contract agreement is due at the time of booking and may be paid with cash, check, or credit card. Call me at 978.697.1345 to pick a date!

Shoot. On location sessions generally take 60-90 minutes.  Please plan to start on time:)

Edit.  7-14 days after your session, I will post a gallery of the 35-55 of the best images, sometime more.

Order. You are welcome to order online, or in person.  I am heavily focused on helping you get the most out of your images and I highly recommend in-person ordering.  Reason being, it is different to touch and hold prints, albums, wall art and find the right product for you.  I am a start to finish photographer…by this I mean that I am available to help you determine which image to display, how to size them, and even how to arrange them on your wall or in an album.

Delivery.  This is a big day! Print products generally take 14 days. Specialty products such as albums may take up to 4 weeks.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PORTRAIT & LIFESTYLE SESSION?

-portrait sessions provide a cross section of posed, unposed, and candid images all focused on capturing the personality of each family member and connection they have as a family unit.

-lifestyle sessions generally takes place in or around the home and focus on the simple life we engage in daily…how we play, baking together, eating around the table, baby bath time, boardgames, etc.

Where will the session be?
Pretty much anywhere! I do have a handful of favorite locations being grassy fields, ocean inlets, playgrounds, local farms or your home!

What if it rains?
Rain dates will be determined the day of the session ONLY, and not prior. Sorry, the best light can happen after a little drizzle clears:)

When do you do maternity and newborn photos?
Maternity sessions are done during the third trimester. For sleepy newborns, I recommend within the first 14 days.

Do you sell digital files?
Yes, but always alongside printed products. I wholeheartedly believe that we need to print images to enjoy them. My professional mission is 100% inspired by creating images that people cherish for a lifetime. Print to enjoy!

Can I print my files?
Absolutely, Amy Buelow Photography will always own the copyright to the images created. However, all images that are purchased will come with a print release and you may print it to your hearts desire…

How much do your prints cost?
As a guideline, my print prices begin at $25 for a 5X7, $40 for an 8X10, and collections begin at $500.  Most folks budget between $800-$1600 for session and products combined.

What products do you offer?
Prints and products are very important to the Amy Buelow Photography mission of helping people enjoy images! I am heavily focused on designing custom wall art for you…that includes framed prints, canvas gallery wraps, and wall displays. I also offer albums, custom birth announcements and holiday cards, bamboo wooden block prints, and acrylic storyboards.
