Pinkle Toes Photography Workshop | Ridgewood, NJ

In June, I had the opportunity to join a group of very talented and fun photographers for a workshop hosted by Michele Anderson of Pinkletoes Photography from Austin.  Developing my artistic and technical photography craft is something I always have my focus on but Michele inspired an even greater push…capturing authentic human emotion and practicing outside-of-the-box shooting techniques.

With an open heart, Michele shared with us some of her greatest tips and tricks for creating a successful session from finding the best light (even during three days of gloomy and dreary skies) to engaging with clients in her silly and surprising way.  I am looking forward to practicing my new skills in underwater photography, special flare use, silhouetting, and more cool lens tricks.

I spent most of my time observing her, but captured these few images below of Michele in action, as well as a very special budding artist model!

While at this workshop with these other very talented photographers it became clear to me that personal growth leads to collective growth.  I want to give a special thanks to Michele for raising the bar in the photography industry.  Check out Michele’s blog at Austin’s Family Lifetyle Photographer.
